M83 – Wait
M83 dropped a magical cinematic piece Wait bringing up subjects like childhood surrealism and outer space
For all those Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: a space odyssey fans, the eerie children return to M83’s post-apocalyptic trilogy, bringing a rather vague, extraterrestrial vibe.
Directed by Fleur & Manu, the video is bringing the trilogy that includes “Midnight City” and “Reunion” to its glorious end. The video takes viewers on a futuristic journey following the adventures of a group of children with X-Men-type powers through time and space as the beings eventually land on an post-apocalyptic earth. The whole science fiction influenced concept steps nicely with the overarching visual themes of the track: childhood surrealism, amazing landscapes, outer space and of course the icy-clear imagery.
The artist takes architecture to a new level – literally, with his mind-bending series of flying houses.
