Inkarnation is a book about love and passion for the tattoo, combined with attitude to rock’n’roll lifestyle.

The large scale photographs go beneath the surface and reveal the stars of the book as they really are: models, pinups, artists and tattoo artists – simply people who committed themselves entirely to the art of tattooing.

Inkarnation manages to provide an authentic impression of this creative scene. The  colourful fashion of unique tattoos of individuals, associated with  their chequered lives as colourful as their tattoos. The book has ‘black” and ”white” editions, consists of  302 pages and 320 photos. White leather cover comes in a limited edition of 100 books and each of them contains a t-shirt. Rock music connected with spirituality, so there’s no coincidence that the „Black Edition“  resembles a book of prayers. Having in mind that love and peace were very common themes in rock music since 1960, it feels like author wanted to put emphasize on peace and war by demonstrating photos show the battle against  hatred, violence, prejudice and mobbing in schools worldwide.

Inkarnation is a cooperation of Zeixs Publishing, Feierabend-Unique-Books and Pixeleye Interactive. The idea and concept  are of  Marc Wnuck and Dirk Behlau aka The Pixeleye, who has supervised the book in cooperation with 32 international top photographers.
