When a usual pen goes beyond the confines of its common usage we are sure to witness something gorgeous and supernatural. This is true about a UK photo illustrator Sophie Moore, who uses fine, pigment pens, creating intricate portraits of famous rock stars.
The fine pen illustrations are black and white, with vertical line shading and cross-hatching-details. The awesome collection includes exciting penned portraits of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Jim Morrison, Richie Kotzen, Frank Zappa and others.
Sophie studied illustration at Southampton Solent University many years ago, gaining a BA Hons Degree. She says that art has always been in her blood and creative expression has been constant and has served as a lifestyle ever since she learned to hold a pencil.
She has a few styles of work, depending on her medium, be it photography in the psychedelic manner or design. Now she has got more passionate about her art trying to convert it into more effective and commercially profitable profession.
