Radio Soulwax: Tribute to David Bowie

13 Nov 2012

Directed by Wim Reygaert, the film tells us a story of Dave Bowie, his life and career.

The upcoming episode from Radio Soulwax’s album series, will be the 23rd hour of a total of 24 and this time, it’s a tribute to the one and only David Bowie. Their each album is containing a one hour mix of exclusive and uniquely created audio-visual content. As you can see from the trailer, it’s supposed to be a departure from their usual format of animated artworks and will feature actors performing essential moments in Bowie’s career.

Directed by Wim Reygaert, the film tells us a story of Dave, his life and career, a character with more than a passing resemblance to David Bowie, played by the Belgian model Hannelore Knuts.

Everything that surrounds Dave’s character is getting mixed with storylines and random details from his music in a way, that is only possible in movies. He’s some sort of spectator, who is traveling through time, witnessing extraordinary things. His primary goal is to stalk down and eliminate all other versions of himself, and if he fails at his mission, the world as he knows it, won’t exist anymore.

Pioneering a new path for dance music to reach the masses, Radio Soulwax continues to sell out all over the world with their sets & live shows and will surely perform in Brixton Academy, which has already become a traditional December event in London.

The screening of Dave will take place at Curzon Cinema in London’s Mayfair on Tuesday, November 13

There is also a Radio Soulwax App, available for download here.
