Personal design journal in which author set himself the goal of creating a new piece of design everyday.
Ryan Atkinson is a designer, currently working for McCann in Dubai, as the Head of Integrated Design. He started a personal project, in which he set himself the goal of creating a new piece of experimental design everyday, for one year. The purpose, to keep himself inspired and thinking creatively.
One obvious challenge that you’d face with a project like this, is finding the time to do it, especially if you work in a busy agency atmosphere. But, the obvious reward would be looking back over a body of work, that would never have come to fruition, without the will power to see it through.
I imagine it could become hard to keep coming up with new ideas, every single day. On his Behance Network post, Ryan says, “As you will see certain themes began to develop, for example: on Mondays, I do a new logo or mark & Tuesdays is infographic style and so forth.”
So through happy days, sad days (hopefully not), normal days and boring days, you can see Ryan’s life through the course of one year, plotted in these beautiful graphic pieces.
