Looper’s brush-painted trailer

28 Sep 2012

An excellent dialogue-free motion picture promo for the upcoming sci-fi action thriller Looper.

An excellent piece of dialogue-free, 90-second motion picture promotion, was created by animator Noah Fisher and artist Zachary Johnson, for the upcoming sci-fi action thriller Looper.

The trailer is brilliant on multiple levels, presenting several scenes from previous trailer in paintbrush-style animation, and rather marvellous it looks too. The technique reminds us of the “A Scanner Darkly”, revealing that director Johnson was inspired by the deep-though animation drama.  It is a story of a futuristic hit man who eliminates victims sent to him from a dangerous future, but problems begin when his next target turns out to be the futuristic version of himself.

Directed by Rian Johnson and starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis and Emily Blunt, Looper opens in the UK on 28 September 2012.
